Crazy Car
With the Detroit Auto Show up in full swing, I took a look at what car-related C64 games are out there available for download and simple to learn and play.
Sometimes all you want and need out of a game is shoot 'em up fun, but something a little deeper than a typical looping flash game you play in a browser. Crazy Car is such a game. It's tough and unyielding, but keeps you entertained and up for the challenge, wondering what will come after that next sharp turn. It's less of a racing game and more of a shooting game, but it has cars and provides instant and easily accessible fun - what more could you ask for during Auto Show season?
Controls are straightforward -- set and use directional keys via your numpad and the right ctrl key for firing in your Emulator, or use a USB game pad and the fire button for shooting missiles from your car. Keep moving straight and avoid getting hit! In this way the game reminds me a bit of the old Activision classic River Raid.
You can download the game from the "Latif" link HERE.

Enjoy the cars and let the missiles fly!

River Raid! I bought that on either the Speccy or the C64 on tape. Great fun.

I used to play this small car game on my portable video hand game, this game is really very cute and interesting and cool and can play it anywhere.
